Job title: MS BSS Back Office Engineer

Functional Role:  MS BO RAN

Skill Set:  Experienced

Location:  Saudi Arabia

Duration:  6-months extendable

 

Reporting:

This position reports to RAN Back Office Manager.

 

Objective of the job:

The objective of this job is to provide O&M system support in relevant competence area and to ensure a timely resolution of Trouble Tickets and Change Requests.

 

Responsibilities:

The Service Engineer is responsible to his/her manager for ensuring that all assigned O&M tasks are fulfilled in time with the highest quality standards in accordance with WLA and SLA.

 

Product Area:

The MS BSS Services Engineer shall be able to handle Ericsson's BSS products for Managed Services·        

·                 BSC/TRC

·                 RBS

 

Mains Tasks and Competence requirements:

·        Trouble Ticket (TT) & Change Request (CR) handling in Resolution/Remedy system.

·        Analysis and investigation of reported cases in the BTS, BSC, AXE810/APG platforms.

·        Performing preventive maintenance of the radio network and take proactive action to identify, localize and correct associated faults.

·        Performing acceptance tests and integration of new services, features, functions, and nodes.

·        Proven skills and competence in the Ericsson AXE (APT and APZ architecture), APG platforms, Group Switch, TRA, and, RBS.

·        Be familiar with OSS Tools such as, CNA, SMIA, CHA, SMO, BSM & OPS.

·        Remote support for filed Engineers to resolve all sites problems

·        Administrative tasks required for system support, like writing progress reports to the customer.

·        Perform major activities such as Re-homing, re-parenting & software upgrade.

·        Ability to wok & coordinate with Optimization & Core teams to solve traffic cases.

·        Ability to deal with high demands, workload and emergencies.

·        Willingness to be on call and to work at nights.

 

Training, Education and Experience:

·        Vendor or Operator certified candidate who alread:y participated in official trainings courses. 

·        Degree within Electrical Engineering/Telecommunication Engineering/Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent.

·        Minimum 5 years of experience in Operation & Maintenance implementation / integration / operation / support.
